Sony, like many other manufacturers have jumped into the tablet market and we saw two tablets announced by them a few months back. Both tablets stood apart from the rest of the crowd. The Sony Tablet S, previously known as the S1 was released back in September and featured a design which has been described as being similar to a folded back magazine. Sony’s other tablet entry, the Tablet P, previously known as the S2 features two 5.5 inch touch screen displays and a clam shell design akin to Nintendo’s DS.
The Sony Tablet P has now been released in the UK and comes with a £499.99 price tag. For that, you get two 5.5 inch displays, with 1024×480 resolution, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, microSD support, dual core 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and a 5 megapixel camera on the back, with a VGA camera on the inside. The tablet runs Android 3.2 which, will most likely be upgraded to Android 4.0 some time in the future. The Tablet P, along with the Tablet S comes with PlayStation certification and there are already several PSone games that have been ported to the tablets, such as Wipeout and Crash Bandicoot.
While Sony have dared to be different with the design, it seems like they have dared to be different with the price tag as well. Most tablets are around the £400 mark, such as the Apple iPad and Sony’s Tablet S so it will be interesting to see how this uniquely designed tablet will fare in the market.

For anyone in the UK, or anywhere really, apart from the US, the question on most people’s lips is “How much is the PS Move here?”. Well, we can now provide that answer for anyone in the UK. While stores like Game are allowing pre-orders for just a £10 deposit, they haven’t stated the final price. However you can now pre-order from Amazon, who have the prices listed.
The PlayStation Move controller will be available for £39.99 while the subcontroller will be £29.99. The prices are quite disappointing to be honest, when compared with the US prices but, it’s not really that unexpected. We will also be getting a bundle pack, aka the Move Starter kit, which includes the PlayStation Move controller, the PlayStation Eye and the demo disk. The Starter pack will be available for £49.99, the RRP however is £59.99.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini has now been released in the UK on most networks. Both Vodafone and O2 have the X10 Mini in stock, although it’s unclear which color they are stocking and sending. Orange on the other hand, also have the handset in stock but, they have an exclusive deal with Sony Ericsson, like the did for the Xperia X10. Orange were able to gain exclusive rights to the white model of the X10, while the other networks just had the black model and this time, Orange are the only UK sellers of the Lime Green Xperia X10 Mini.
Tariff rates start pretty low, with Orange even offering the phone up for free on a £15 a month tariff. Overall £20 is the lowest tariff to get the X10 Mini for free but, this can be on an 18 month contract, not just a 24 month contract. T-Mobile is yet to launch the handset, nor is it listed in their coming soon handsets. They do however list the Xperia X10 Mini Pro as coming in sometime in July.
Third party retailers however, such as can offer the X10 Mini on T-Mobile as well as Three. They sell the handsets unlocked and so can provide any network sim with the handsets. They also have some great cashback or gifts with the handset, including a PSP Go, or PS3 Slim.

After much searching and regularly checking various online websites, I have found the Xperia X2 for order. Of course the handset can be found on eBay and the amazon marketplace but, online retailer Expansys finally have the Xperia X2 for order. Unfortunately the handset doesn’t come with a warranty so the company could possibly be importing the handset. The listing for the Xperia X2 also states that availability/shipping is around 7 days.

Vodafone have already confirmed that the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will become a part of their handset range when it is released in the UK but, so far O2 haven’t confirmed whether they will be offering the X10 as part of their range too. However, O2 have posted up a couple of teasers on their website that leads us to believe that they will indeed be offering the 4.1 inch Android based smartphone themselves.
The X10 has appeared on the O2 accessories part of their website previously and has just been spotted in the O2 smartphone hub too. Not confirmation from O2 that they will supply the X10 but, teasers none the less and we are expecting O2 to release definite confirmation information soon.
