Sony has revealed that they will begin selling three new notebook ranges in the US. Both the EA and EB series feature brightly colored models. The VAIO EA will be available in blue, pink, green, black, grey (gunmetal black) and white. The EA series features a 14 inch display and will have a starting price of $769.99.

The next model up, the EB series, is also available in the same colors and has a starting price of $699.99. Despite the smaller price tag, the EB series actually has a larger display which measures 15.5 inches.

The VAIO EC on the other hand, is only available in Gunmetal black and will have a starting price of $819.99, with a 17.3 inch display.

Sony has unveiled its latest stylish, compact, touch-enabled machine- the VAIO J. It is touted as an affordable, all in one PC loaded with the latest technology.

It features a 21.5 inch, 1920×1080 widescreen panel with high definition display. A few models are equipped with a Blu-ray Disc optical drive which enables 1080p high definition display. It has an in-built 802.11 b/g/n Wi- Fi system and built-in webcam with face tracking technology. The VAIO J also includes a wireless keyboard and mouse that can be stored under the unit’s display

The PC is powered by a 2.66GHz Intel Core i7-620M processor and comes loaded with the Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional 64-bit operating system. The NVIDIA GeForce series graphic card with 512 vRAM is optional. It can have up to 8 GB of RAM and also has a 7,200rpm 500GB hard drive.

Great news for those in the US who fell in love with the Billabong edition Sony VAIO W, previously only available to those in Australia. Sony will be releasing the Imperial Lime Billabong netbook to the US market and you can pre-order it in Sony Style stores from today. The netbook will cost $500 and comes with the standard VAIO W specs, including a 10.1 inch display, with a resolution of 1366×768, the best which can be found on a netbook and really does make a difference. You also get 1GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive, along with Windows Starter 7 as the OS.

Not only that but, Sony will be teaming up with Billabong in the Design for Humanity event. Sony will auction off two of the netbooks for the event, where all proceeds will be donated to the Invisible Children foundation. The event will take place June 10th.

For folks in the the UK, Northern Ireland, the Netherlands or Spain, those who purchase promotional Magnum ice creams, can enter a competition, whereby the prize is a Sony VAIO P laptop in gold. The company will be giving away one VAIO P every day until the end of June. From July until August, the company will still have VAIO P laptops up for grabs but, reduced to one winner a week. It’s unknown whether the VAIO P is the old model, or the newest version, as the actual Magnum website, along with the ice cream packaging doesn’t state it’s the VAIO P, let alone what specs it has. You can also adjust the resolution of your screen and tune up your PC with just one click. The price stands at around $800 a piece.
