PS3 Update brings in 3D support

While Sony’s previous firmware update for the PS3 left much to be desired, with one PS3 owner filing a class action lawsuit, it’s good to see some good things come from a firmware update. Perhaps the main feature for some, is the ability to game in 3D. The update brings 3D stereoscopic gaming, coincide with the launch of 3D Sony Bravia TVs.
The sorting options within Trophies has also been made easier in both the Trophy Collection section and while comparing Trophies.
- Trophy enhancements –- Now you can more easily sort trophies in the [Trophy Collection] and [Comparing Trophy] sections. Sorting can be done with [Trophy Collection] in the [Game Category] and also when comparing trophies with your friends in the [Friend Category]
- Trophy Folder (Title List) can be sorted by game name/ by title according to the date in which you earned your last trophy (ascending/descending)
- Add-on list (Group list) can be sorted by original/the date in which you earned your last trophy (ascending/descending)
- Trophy list can be sorted by original/trophy name/grade/date of obtaining the trophy (ascending/descending)
Unfortunately, problems have already been reported since updating to 3.30. For some users, Dragon Age: Origins, crashes of freezes during game play. While other PS3 owners have reported game disks not working, or even Blu Ray and DVDs no longer working (including the NetFlix Disc).
