Sony Ericsson have announced they will be releasing the G705 later this year for selected markets and early next year for America.
The G705 will have a 2.4 inch display, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.2 megapixel camera and will be DLNA certified. The GPS software will be provided as Google Maps, with the inclusion of DLNA (allowing the phone to talk to other devices with DLNA) and wayfinder. You’ll also find a Google shortcut key as well as the ability to upload videos directly to youtube and a HTML browser.
Unlike other Sony Ericsson phones, this handset will not have built in memory but rather come with a 1GB Memory Stick Micro Card.
Sony Ericsson have also announced the release of the G705u which will be their first UMA enabled handset. UMA allows you to roam between a mobile network and local area networks seamlessly thanks to it’s GSM/Wi-FI dual capabilities. The G705u will only be available on Orange in selected regions.
