Sony Ericsson is having a real tough time with their security. Details about upcoming handsets have been leaked recently and this time it’s the Sony Ericsson “Julie”.
The Julie is reportedly a Windows Phone 7 device. It is rumored to look somewhat like the Xperia X10. The phone will sport a QWERTY keypad and is likely to support multi touch gestures. It will mostly be powered by a 1GHz processor and rumor is that it will feature a 4″ multi touch capable display too, something the Xperia X10 range is sadly lacking.
Because the handset could be running the Windows 7 OS platform, this also means it should feature built in support for Xbox Live integration which, if true, would be in direct competition with Sony’s own PlayStation network, so perhaps there are plans for a PSN integration at some point too.
No other details or images of the “Julie” are available currently. The phone which is still under development will most probably hit stores late this year or early next year.

What look to be ‘Official’ photos have emerged of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8, also known as Shakira, over on the se-nse blog.
Although exact specifications of the newest incarnation of Sony Ericsson smartphones haven’t been released yet, it appears that the Xperia X8 is, as expected, a cross between the full sized Xperia X10 and the smaller X10 Mini, sitting in the middle of those sized phones. It has been noted that there doesnt seem to be any flash for the camera on the X8 which would be disappointing but again, until specs are released by Sony Ericsson we can’t confirm that.
The Xperia X8 is expected to be released later in the year and we will bring you more information on the handset as it is released.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini has now been released in the UK on most networks. Both Vodafone and O2 have the X10 Mini in stock, although it’s unclear which color they are stocking and sending. Orange on the other hand, also have the handset in stock but, they have an exclusive deal with Sony Ericsson, like the did for the Xperia X10. Orange were able to gain exclusive rights to the white model of the X10, while the other networks just had the black model and this time, Orange are the only UK sellers of the Lime Green Xperia X10 Mini.
Tariff rates start pretty low, with Orange even offering the phone up for free on a £15 a month tariff. Overall £20 is the lowest tariff to get the X10 Mini for free but, this can be on an 18 month contract, not just a 24 month contract. T-Mobile is yet to launch the handset, nor is it listed in their coming soon handsets. They do however list the Xperia X10 Mini Pro as coming in sometime in July.

Third party retailers however, such as Mobiles.co.uk can offer the X10 Mini on T-Mobile as well as Three. They sell the handsets unlocked and so can provide any network sim with the handsets. They also have some great cashback or gifts with the handset, including a PSP Go, or PS3 Slim.

With the aim of strengthening its hold in the fast growing smart phone market in South Korea, Sony Ericsson has announced that it will sell the Xperia X 10 starting this month. The Android powered handset will be the second smart phone in the market from Sony.
“Korea is one of the most important markets for Sony Ericsson…and this market has a great potential for Sony Ericsson’s future growth” as the number of smart phone users has nearly doubled from the end of last year to 2 million by May this year, Hirokazu Ishizuka, head of the company’s Asia-Pacific region, said Thursday.
Sony is hoping that applications like Timescape will give the phone an edge over competitors like Apple, Samsung and LG which have already gained a strong foot hold in the market.
Sony Ericsson will partner South Korean telecom giants, SK Telecom Co. (SKM) to offer the phones. The device will carry a price tag of around KRW 800, 000 – KRW 900, 000 ($750).
