Sony Ericsson has released a minor update for Xperia X10. This update from Sony has reportedly improved performance, especially in Timescape and Mediascape.
The update is R1FB001 and baseband version 1.0.21. As of now, the update is only available for phones running the Nordic and American firmware.
The update will soon be released for the rest of the world.
Japanese-Swedish handset maker Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10, is reportedly the best selling handset at DoCoMo. The X10, which is the first mobile phone from Sony Ericsson with Google’s Android operating system on board was made available several weeks ago, and reports state that more than 120,000 units have been sold already
A series of figures show that the Xperia X10 was sold in more than 120,000 units in about three weeks, which is much more than HTC’s Android devices, which reached 80,000 units sold in 10 months.
Vodafone have already confirmed that the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will become a part of their handset range when it is released in the UK but, so far O2 haven’t confirmed whether they will be offering the X10 as part of their range too. However, O2 have posted up a couple of teasers on their website that leads us to believe that they will indeed be offering the 4.1 inch Android based smartphone themselves.
