The Sony Xperia X1 gives you options regarding your interface that no other phone on the market is able to offer. The X1 has space for 9 panels on the home screen for you to choose. Each panel will provide different options and choices depending on what you are looking to do. The phone comes preloaded with different panels, and many more will be available for download. Some different panels include:

Sony Ericsson Panel – Customize your desktop and homescreen with information regarding weather, news, and messaging status.

Google Panel -Quickly access information utilizing google search, check your gmail inbox or even get directions using google maps.

Radio Panel
– The radio panel allows you to listen to your favorite local FM radio stations with the touch of a button.

Of course, the SDK has been released for developers so expect a plethora of custom panels to come soon!
