We’ve seen the initial photos of the Xperia X3, we’ve seen some great photos of the handset in white. We’ve now got the stunning pictures of the handset in black, in much better quality than the original photos of Rachael.
Which model to you prefer? The classic black, or the slick white?
The Xperia X3, previously known as Rachael had previously been listed on Expansys for pre-order. It looks like this was a mistake on Expansys part, as the product page has now been removed. Searching for Xperia handsets also yields no results, apart from the X1 of course.
To cure the confusion on whether Rachael is the X3 or X5, it seems Expansys has answered our questions. A pre-order page has appeared on the website for the Xperia Rachael. The handset is listed with the specs we’ve previously reported on. The product page title just states the handset as an Xperia. Within the description however, it’s marked as “SEMXP3_BLK_UK”, which is the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 UK model, in black. Sony Ericsson haven’t officially announced any of the upcoming Xperia handsets so this could just be a mistake. No release date or price are listed on the site, but with no announcement from Sony Ericsson, it’s not surprising.

The Xperia X1, currently on sale around the world is the first Windows Mobile handset from Sony Ericsson. The handset also features a touch screen and slide out QWERTY keyboard. Camera wise it features an impressive, yet slightly outdated 3.2 megapixel camera.
As per most Sony Ericsson phones, Rachael, possibly the Xperia X3 is available in more than just black. The above picture shows the Xperia handset in white and at different angles to what we’ve previously seen.
That’s not the only Rachael news we’ve got. The Android interface has been captured on video and uploaded to YouTube. The interface looks really good and hopefully we’ll be seeing more of it really soon. Preferably from Sony themselves next time, who are still to officially announce “Rachael” aka Xperia X3, along with the Xperia X2 Vulcan.
