Valve made a well recieved announcement at E3 2010 in the form of the revelation that Portal 2 will be coming to the PlayStation 3 in 2011 and the PS3 version is set to be, according to Gabe Newell the “best on any console”.
Surprising words as Newell, Valve and Sony have been less than friendly towards each other in the past with regards to the lack of commitment Valve have shown in developing games for the PS3.
The PS3 version of Portal 2 will have Steam support as the Valve announcement also claimed that “Steam will be part of the experience”. Portal 2 will then be updated via Steam on the console.
