Konami is bringing Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker to Japan in style. A couple of PlayStation Portable bundles will feature Snake’s exclusive MGS outing on the portable system. The highest end PSP bundle, for 36,980 yen (just over $400 USD).

There have not been any announcements yet as to whether these, or another, special MGS:PW PSP bundles or accessories will be released in other regions.

Gran Turismo 5 has been postponed about a month from the originally projected March 2010 release date in Japan. News of the delay came from Sony Computer Entertainment Japan.

This is par for the course in the gaming world I’m afraid this isn’t the first game of the year to get postponed, nor will it be the last.

UPDATE: A Sony spokesperson commented that Gran Turismo 5 has been estimated for a 2010 release in North America and did not see the delay in Japan as impacting the US release

Apparently there are two versions of Nier in Japan and we are only getting one. When I say we, I am talking about the US. It’s an adult themed action/RPG and the main charachter is supposed to be a hermaphrodite but we don’t get that version.We aren’t grown up enough to handle it as well as Japanese gamers.

This game is only on PS3 and Xbox 360 so far.

For the holidays, Sony are offering up a free engraving on their DSC-TX1 camera. Specs wise, it features a 10.2 megapixel camera with 4X optical zoom and a Carl Zeiss lens. On the back, there’s an impressive 3 inch touch screen dsiplay.

Lucky folks in Japan can get the camera in a choice of silver, pink or black, with tiny snowflakes engraved on the front.
