Praise Jesus for saving us from video game violence! Some folks up in Maine didn’t take kindly to No Russian. The Maine Christian Civil Leage (MCCL) condemns the game, saying that “any decent citizen ought to ban it.” The game being Modern Warefare 2.

Here is what they have to say about the level and game:

“The ready availability of drugs, violent video games, and outrageous rock music is a witch’s brew which will eventually lead to tragedy here in Maine.”

“There is a well-established cause and effect relationship between video games and school shootings, and parents of some of the victims have sued video game makers. Mercifully, our own state has been spared the occurrence of any school shootings, but the danger is growing with each passing day.”

“All decent people should denounce the video game Modern Warfare 2; and join in opposing the sale and use of such games. Moreover, it may be time for Maine to begin a debate over the advisability of banning these games completely, giving due consideration to both the First Amendment, and the danger these violent games pose to the public.”

I don’t know if I feel comfortable with people telling me what is right or wrong, I think I can make the choice for myself. It’s all a choice until someone else thinks it’s wrong.

Call of Duty: World at War game developer Treyarch and publisher Activision have announced a new iPhone game, based on the Zombies gameplay mode from COD: WaW, is now available.

Details from Activision:
“Call of Duty: World at War: ZOMBIES offers both single player and the game’s highly-addictive co-op gameplay experience in full 3-D, allowing up to four players to join a game via Wi-Fi, locally or across the Internet, and up to two players via Bluetooth, all on the go!”

You can look foward to new maps as time goes on.

Activision is reporting that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has sold $310 million, about 4.7 million units, in its first day debut in North America and the United Kingdom. This makes Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 the biggest entertainment launch in history

Many CoD-ers have been expressing fears that when they receive their copy of Modern Warfare 2 that they will be at the bottom of the barrel on the leadboards.  Robert Bowling of  Infinity Ward has let us all know that all will be reset , creating a fair playing field for all those who had to wait to play the game.

I am all for people getting games early, but not for the sake of getting ahead of everyone else.

Lotsa rumours flying about whether or not there will be trophies for the map pack coming up for World at War on the PS3. Treyarch certainly isn’t saying anything about the matter.

If you look here at this site you will see trophies for map packs 1, 2, 3 and 4? I don’t know how worthy this information is but it’s something to look forward to if it’s true.
