Sorry to disappoint you, but the Trophy system found on the PS3, won’t be making it’s way to the PSP. PlayStaion Network Operations director, Eric Lempel was asked about the possibility of trophies on the PSP, but has said they will not be coming to the PSP. Not because users wouldn’t want the system, but because the PSP is very hackable. With custom firmware, the PSP is capable of playing PSP games from the memory stick, which could “artificially inflate” the rankings and trophies of players, which could kill the trophy system. Hackable or not, I think it’s a missed opportunity, where many genuine PSP owners are let down.

If the previous pictures of the upcoming Xperia X2 from Sony Ericsson weren’t enough for you, on the Esato forums more pictures have been posted up. The pictures show the phone while closed, with the display on and in a different color. These shots see the Xperia X2 in silver, which make the handset look even better than the X1. But is the silver more sleek than the black model? I think so.

During the research for the GreenHeart line of phones, which are eco friendly and made from recycled materials, Sony Ericsson made some discovers on touch screen handsets. Phones, such as the Xperia X1 which feature a touch screen are not as good for the environment. The screen on the Xperia is 3 inches, which is about the average for touchscreen handsets, can not be made as easily from recycled materials. Handsets with a touch screen rely heavily on glass for the screen compared to smaller handsets, which can use recycled plastic.

The eco friendly handsets from Sony Ericsson, dubbed the GreenHeart series, will see the C901 and Naite as the first handsets in the series. When we previously reported on the handsets no price had been confirmed. Members of Sony Ericsson’s team of green mobile phone developers have announced the price during a live web cast yesterday. The GreenHeart C901 is set at 359 Euros in Germany, while the Naite will be 159 Euros. It’s also been revealed, that the handsets will feature a carbon footprint calculator and WalkMate, a pedometer on the handset.

Earlier we showed you some pictures of the upcoming Xperia X2 from Sony Ericsson. Today we’ve gotten hold of the specifications of the handset. The specs, were leaked on Mobile-Review forum, so how accurate they are isn’t known, but it’s very likely these will be the specs of the handset.
The handset as we already know includes an 8.1 megapixel camera, which will also feature auto focus, high quality video and VGA at 30 fps. The screen is also an extra 0.5 inches bigger than the X1 at 3.5 inches. The Xperia X2 will run on Windows Mobile 6.5, with support for upgrading to Windows Mobile 7. The processor is unknown, but touted faster than that used in the X1. Also included is GPS, accelerometer and 3.5mm headphone jack.
